It is widely reported that COVID-19 started in Wuhan China, in a wet market where there’s # of different animals there. There are a couple of speculations out there, but there’s no scientific study that confirms that Coronavirus came from a specific animal, various types of foods, or labs.  We do know that the COVID-19 VIRUS IS A PANDEMIC, THAT IS CAUSING MANY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TO STAY HOME. 

Coronavirus did not appear to be an airborne virus in the same vein as measles or chickenpox. Doctors are learning new things about this virus every day. So far, we know that COVID-19 may not initially cause any symptoms. Some common symptoms that have been specifically linked to COVID-19 include:

  • Practice Good Hygiene :

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing, or having been in a public place. 

We can use other non-contact methods of greeting instead of handshaking, avoid touching our faces, and always cover our mouths and nose when we cough and sneeze.

We can practice disinfecting surfaces like doorknobs, tables, desks, and handrails regularly, Increasing the ventilation by opening windows or adjusting air conditioning would definitely help too.

Make sure to wash your clothes well and any other fabric in the household, and exposed them directly to sunlight.

Most of those infected will have a limited and mild case.  It will feel more like a cold.  Most people who become infected with COVID-19 will be able to care for themselves at home.  Currently, there is no specific anti-viral treatment for COVID-19, and there is no vaccine at this time.  Antibiotics such as penicillin do not kill viruses.

  •  Be careful with meetings and travel: 

Despite the rise of COVID-19, there are still people who are traveling due to business purposes and any important matters, some companies are already using video conferences instead of face-to-face meetings, while others still pursued their meetings but in a well-ventilated space.

  • Handle food carefully:

 As much as we love to share our food with anyone, this is not advisable for now, as we have to limit food sharing.

Business owners are encouraged to Strengthen health screening for their cafeteria staff and their close contacts, they also have to ensure that they strictly practice proper hygiene.

  •  Stay home:

 These days are not the best time to wander, it would be better to stay at home especially when you feel that you are sick or you have a family member who is sick. Do not go to work, school, or public areas. Avoid using public transportation, ride-sharing, or taxis. You can also call your healthcare provider and let them know about your symptoms, This will help them take care of you and keep other people from getting infected or exposed.

You should restrict activities outside your home, except for getting medical care, If you’re instructed to leave by your health care provider, always wear a face mask, the mask gives us a sense of security, But the problem is that not all of the people who wear mask know how to wear it properly. When you wear a mask, make sure that it fits perfectly. 

These steps will help the health care provider’s office to keep other people in the office or waiting room from getting infected or exposed.

  • Households with vulnerable seniors or those with significant underlying conditions:

Everyone is susceptible to being infected with coronavirus, however, older people are the ones who are more likely to have severe disease or more serious disease.

The elderly, especially those with preexisting conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and lung disease, are at a higher risk of getting "very sick" from COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Have healthy people in the household conduct themselves as if they were a significant risk to the person with underlying conditions. For example, wash hands frequently before interacting with the person, such as by feeding or caring for the person, If possible, provide a protected space for vulnerable household members, and Ensure all utensils and surfaces are cleaned regularly.

  • Avoid crowding:
